🐾 Making a Difference, One Pet at a Time

Help Keep Pets and Families in Remote Alaska Healthy!

Join team Trail Breaker in helping to bring medical care to pets living in remote places. Life can be hard, and life in rural Alaska takes a lot of resources. You can be the angel who spares a family from having to chose between their pet's health and their family's groceries, or their own medical bill, or a warm house in winter. The Trail Breaker team knows our clients very well and we trust the communities we serve to take care of each in hard times.

Emergency Humane Euthanasia

Anyone who has experienced the loss of a pet knows how hard it is to see your beloved animal struggling, knowing they will not improve. It is the people who love the animal the most and know them the best who can tell when that animal is saying that the need their struggles to end, that it is time. Knowing that is what needs to happen is hard enough, but knowing without having the means to follow through in a peaceful, humane way is excruciating. Give the gift of a loving, dignified end of life for a remote pet in need, along with peace for that pet's beloved humans.

$200

Golden Girls and Boys Medical Management

Help support some of our favorite patients, our super geriatrics! These are dogs 14+ and cats 15+ years of age. These animals are TOUGH, they have been loved by and been loving their families for a long time. Their human kids have never lived in a world without them. They have been someone's best friend though hard times. Their medical care can be complex and prioritizes quality of life and pain management over cures.

$150

Puppy/Kitten Pack

Give a little baby a healthy start at life with a new family! This pack covers all relevant vaccines, two doses of parasite treatment and baseline infectious disease testing for a kitten or puppy under 6 months old. This is often the most vulnerable time in an animal's life, when their immune system is not yet developed fully and they are exposed to the most creepy crawlies! Many remote communities have no sheltering system for unplanned litters, so families take in these babies without always knowing everything medically needed to keep the baby healthy!

$220

Healthy Pets in the heart of all Alaskan families

We know that our clients love their animals, we believe that pets deserve to be pain free and healthy while staying in the heart of their family. If the love in their hearts could turn into currency, we know these families would spend it to keep their animal family safe and healthy. Through community support and compassionate care, we can make that a reality.

Because your pet's health shouldn't be based on the contents of your wallet.
